If you're looking for a bit of 2017 inspiration, this might be just what you need.

This time last year, my brother embarked on a creative journey, a project he called 12x16.

Sam picked a new creative project for each month of 2016. He researched, explored and got completely stuck in to trying new things and meeting new people until he wrapped his month with a final activity.

folding origami
flying in gliders
drawing self portraits
fasting for a day
swimming in open lakes
finding colour in a grey London
showing solidarity with our EU neighbours
animating with clay
creating a huge origami installation
learning how to use film cameras
writing songs
and now, telling his story.

This and so much more was what my brothers year consisted of because he chose to reclaim his creativity, leave his comfort zone and he started actually DOING. I think we're all culprits of saying, but not doing at times. I definitely am and I'm inspired to stop watching other people and to get out there and do it myself.

Here's his story. It's just a short video. Already over 10k views in just over a day on Facebook, so be a part of the fun - comment, like & share!

Get out there and GET INSPIRED in 2017! xx
Hello!
I'm sorry I've been a little distant recently, I had a serious case of what I call 'Bloggers Block' and not been too inspired to post, but I think I'm getting over it!

I hate when photos get lost in my phone, if they don't make it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, so I thought I'd put a little post together to fill you in with what I've been up too and share some photos!

Mothers day breakfast in bed for my Mum! I got her the 'H' mug from Anthropologie in LA and I have the matching 'G' one :)

Mirror selfies before I went out for my brothers 25th birthday celebrations. I love the hint of mustard yellow throughout this photo. My dress is from Primark and I'm love it!

Partying with my brother, Sam!

On Tuesday the sun was shiiiining! It was a beautiful day so I sat in the park with a bunch of friends and enjoyed Calippo's and peach ice tea!

Everyone meet 'Big Verne' - the pretty impressive cockerel belonging to my dad & step mum.

You may have worked out by now that I am tea-OBSESSED. I drink it all day, every day, so finding this gigantic mug in Next, for a bargin-ous £4, made me super happy!

Dessert time! I went for a meal with my oldest friend, Katie, to catch up as we rarely get to see each other. It was so lovely to see her and we definitely made a good choice on these desserts... Banoffee Pie again please?!

The perfect breakfast! I had a rather sleepless night, the night before, with  my cat trying to perform a balancing act on me and a snoring boyfriend lying on my arm... (but I love them too much too stay mad!) So this breakfast made things 100x better!

Those are just a few things from my last week at home!
My 'easter' holidays are over now, so I'm back in sunny Brighton!

Are you enjoying your easter holidays?  :)

Happy Mother's Day to all you yummy mummy's out there!
But, especially to my Mumma, The most incredible and beautiful woman in my life.
There for me and my bro through thick and thin and always inspiring us to keep going, even when things seem a little tough.
She's as mad as a hatter, but we wouldn't change her for anything!

Happy Mother's Day Mumma!

And, there is no better time to listen to Mama - Spice Girls, than today!

xxxxxx

How my big brother is 25 I have no idea?!
Every single one of mine and my brother's birthdays involves getting the family together for birthday tea! My mum felt that this year, it was time for a change, to make it a little more grown up, so we had a yummy buffet lunch instead. It was so lovely so see all my family and celebrate Sam's birthday!
Even took out the old home videos, so embarrassing!

I believe this moment was Sam asking what Ethan had drawn next to his name on his birthday card.
Ethan's response? 'A poo'
Obviously!

Ethan's Tea and Coffee charts for my mum, apparently 'M' is for 'mericano' haha!

My lemon drizzle cake was a success! It was so super lemon-y and drizzle-y, which is pretty much all you can want from a lemon drizzle cake, no? I will definitely be making this cake again (Henry's already told me that I can make it at uni!) Check out the recipe here!

I think this is my favourite post to write. It makes me focus on what makes me happy and the good things that happened this week.

(I do not own this image, Source Unknown)
1. Easter chocolate being on the shelves. It's early, yes, but who doesn't love Creme Egg season?

2. Filming my first vlog. Nerve wracking and scary, but I did it! Watch it here!

3. Fentimans Rose Lemonade. It's so refreshing!

4. Having sushi for lunch or dinner. I'd eat it for every meal if I could! Healthy and super tasty.

5. Having a night with an Indian takeaway and scary films with the boys & Bea. It was nice not being the only girl telling the boys to shut up during the films ha!

6. My new Urban Outfitters Coat. £125 reduced to £35... I couldn't say no!

7. Zoe's video for Tanya Burr to say congratulations for the Lipgloss and Nail Varnish range. It's the cutest thing and put a big smile on my face. Watch it here!

8. Painting my nails mint green and my toes bright orange... It's only February and I'm already anticipating spring/summer!

9. Spending some time with my little brother last weekend. He made 'charts' all on his own and stuck them on the wall... 'Henree' was in his good books, lots of ticks! 'Go' (said 'Jor'... a cute attempt at my name) had a lot of crosses... what have I done?!

10. Sundays. I don't like the looming Monday, but the laziness of sundays is my favourite. Sunday was spent slouched in a bean bag, leggings and a comfy jumper on, watching the rugby, flitting between writing blog posts and my university essay with a hot chocolate in hand.

What's made you smile this week?

1,2,3,5,9, 10 - My Own Photos.  I do not own any of the following photos.  4 - Prezzo Sign. 6 - A still from the 'Wrecking Ball' video. 7 - via. pinterest, Source Unknown. 8 - via fanpop.com

1. Cuddles with my little Cat, Mickey. He is the softest and cutest little putz, with the nicest tum you'll ever see!

2.
Having a big meal and drinks with my friends before some of us go to uni. Emotional goodbyes are hard, but it was such a great nigh.

3.
Dairy Milk Giant Chocolate Buttons. They will be the death of me. I can not resist them!

4.
Going out for lunch and spending the day with my granny and grandpa. So lovely to catch up with
them.

5.
My little brothers face when I unexpectedly picked him up from school on Monday.

6.
Wrecking Ball - Miley Cyrus. So, the video is a little extreme when it comes to the 'being naked and swinging on a wrecking ball' bit, but she does look amazing in the close up shots of her face. It's such a great song and I can't stop listening to it.

7.
Learning my own songs on the piano!

8.
Watching 'Spiceworld'. Who doesn't love the Spice Girls?! Thier music will forever put me in the best best best mood! Who else had it on VHS and got the limited edition version in the metal tin?!

9.
Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in 'Peach On The Beach'. I can see myself buying these in every available shade!

10.
My surprise present from my best friend, Charlie. A One Direction photo frame, Cupcakes for my family, a wooden heart shaped wall hanging that says 'Seasons come and go but friendships last forever.' and a lovely letter which brought a tear to my eye! She's the cutest and I absolutely love her!

The next time I post a '10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week' post... I will be sitting in my new bedroom in Brighton! eeeek!

What's made you happy this week? <3

2. Spending an evening with Ben's family. Lots of laughs, wine and games!

3. The ending to Gossip Girl... Read my blog post, here. It says it all there!

4. The smell of a candle just after it's been blown out. The perfect autumn/winter smell.

5. Thyme, Parmesan, Goats Cheese & Prosciutto Risotto. Some small changes to Jamie Oliver's recipe. It's delicious!

6. Getting my haircut. Nothing better than the feeling you have leaving the salon with new hair!

7. My gig last night. It's been a while since I got up on stage and sang my absolute heart out!

8. My little brother in his adorable uniform ready to start year one!

9. Going shopping for Uni bits. I have always loved Ikea!

10. Going to the till with my new brogues and finding out they had been reduced to £10.
