On Saturday, I headed to The Globe for a blogger meet up! Hosted by the lovely Laura from Lola & Behold, it gave a bunch of bloggers the chance to meet and make friends, chat all afternoon and network with some lovely brands too.
Pure Potions formulate products that are perfect with people with dry skin. Fragrance free, paraben free and not tested on animals, these products only use natural oils, rather than chemicals so you'll know exactly what is going on your skin!
I fell totally in love with these gorgeous homeware pieces from Home & Lifestyle store, Homage. Nestled in Seven Dials there's some absolutely beautiful and unique items for sale. The notebooks below are to die for and apparently there's matching wrapping paper, so I know where I'll be heading when I'm next in need!
I love a good snack whilst I'm editing, essay writing, procrastinating or just bored and these Snact goodies are perfect! Tackling food waste head on, they're made with the bits of fruit that are too ugly, too small, too big or just not good enough for your perfect supermarket fruit. This is dehydrated fruit is delicious, vegan, gluten free and 100% fruit!
We were very generously given some goody bags before we left, crammed full of wonderful bits. You can see me delving into the goody bag in my new Weekly Vlog! A big thank you to the following brands for the goodies...
I had such a fantastic time at the #BtonBlogMeet, met the loveliest blogging girls - who I already can't wait to catch up with again!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
If I'm honest, I don't mind the cliche 'new year, new me' posts that happen around this time of year. If people want to use the new year as a reason to better themselves then I am all for it! I love viewing a new year as a time for a clean slate. A blank canvas, ready to be filled with crazy adventures, lots of fun, many laughs and hard work.
In 2016 I want to...
Focus on my blog and YouTube channel even more. Towards the end of 2015 I improved my photography and posted a lot more consistently and started to see an increase in my views and subscribers. I absolutely love every minute of time spent on my blog and YouTube channel, it is such a rewarding hobby to have. So much so that I want to experience that happiness even more in 2016. The feeling of publishing a post you are really, truly proud of is wonderful, so here's to creating more quality, professional, exciting content in 2016! I also want to dedicate myself more by attending more events, networking more, commenting more and making some blogger pals too!
Push myself for the next 6 months to really get the best degree possible. If I'm honest I'm not enjoying my university course as much as a I used to, I feel like I'm a bit bored of being a student and I'm excited (and terrified...) at the thought of delving in to the big wide world. But, there's six months to go and I have not worked this hard for nothing! I know I'll miss it once it's over so I'm going to work my butt of to make sure I get a degree I'm proud of!
Make some healthy changes. Now, I know you'll have heard this a million times and probably even declared it yourself, but I feel like it really is time to start making some changes, for my health and wellbeing, not just because I want to look like Michelle Keegan (Although that would be great...). I don't want to lose self-confidence because I've not even thought about a workout for a few weeks. I don't want to get daily headaches because I've had no where near enough water. I don't want to get ill and sluggish because I've only eaten rubbish for the past few days. I'm not going to be started any fad diets or suddenly going to become a complete gym bunny, but I'm looking forward to making a few changes to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
Make the most of Brighton. My university course coming an end also brings to an end my living in Brighton. I can't tell you how sad this makes me feel as Brighton has captured a huge piece of my heart and will forever be one of my favourite places. Luckily, home isn't too far away, so visits will not be few and far between and I think I'll make it my home again one day. However, until then I want to make the most of this beautiful little city by the seaside!
And lastly... to live a little more! To love more, to go on more adventures, to try new things, to travel more, to smile more, laugh more, LIVE MORE.
I'm excited to starting painting my blank canvas, are you?
Here's to a super sweet '16!
I really loved this shot taken by Henry when we were shooting for my Autumn Lookbook. |
I feel like I need to have a little blog brainstorm. I've got lots of ideas milling about in my brain, but they're all things that take a lot of planning, creating, shooting and editing. Sometimes I need some blog posts that are a little more effortless, but the same quality. That's why I enjoy writing these posts, I get to look back on my week and pick out happy moments and I don't have to wait for the right weird Autumn lighting to write it...
- Having a few days away. Last week I stayed with Henry's family whilst he's been on tour. I've been filming the tour for Saltlake, so it was a great excuse to get out of Brighton for a few days. I got the chance to see some of my family, get some country air, sit in front of the fire place and really relax. (not for too long though, the moment it hit gig o'clock and I was out the door with the camera in my hand!)
- Realisation. I need to put my laptop down. As a student and a blogger/youtuber, I spend a hell of a lot of time starting at screens. Not only that, but then in my spare time I'll open my laptop and browse online stores, watch YouTube videos or scroll through twitter. Then I might pick my phone and check Instagram. Then I'll possibly pop the TV on to catch up on some new shows. My eyes start to ache and I realise just how long I've been starting at the same screen... Screens, screens, screens. You may be confused as to why this is in a good things post, but I'm quite happy that I've realised that it has all got a little too much. I'm excited at the prospect of switching off the electronics and finding some hobbies that don't make my eyes ache!
- Chunky knitted jumpers. Like wearing a hug.
- Christmas Adverts. I'm sorry, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm looooving the Christmas adverts. John Lewis had me in tears and Sainsbury's was just super cute. Just waiting for the Coca Cola Christmas Advert and then you're actually allowed to get excited...
What are some of your favourite things? ♥
I just feel like having a little ramble, really. Just a few goings on in my life, things that have made me happy.
- Seeing the glowing faces of the newlyweds on Saturday Evening. An absolutely beautiful wedding for two absolutely beautiful people!
- Taking the time out to actually read some blogs again. Youtube is easy to pop on and binge watch, but I really do love it when I take the time out to read inspiring words and admire beautiful photos taken by fellow bloggers.
- Snapping away on my Olympus Pen. This camera has already revolutionised the way I blog and it fills me with joy that I can now create so many of the images that are currently just bobbing about in my mind!
- Enjoying a spot of successful holiday shopping!
- I love being at home, but I miss the beach and the buzz of Brighton on a daily basis!
- Wild flowers in jars brightening up my room. They're from the wedding, as there were so many when we tidied up on Sunday. Such a happy little reminder!
- A very special dress handmade for me by my Granny. The perfect summer dress. I can't wait to shoot some photos of it.
What's made you happy recently? :)
I've just finished my second year at university and one thing I realised this term was how tricky it was to keep juggling all the different things I want to do in life. Something had to be put on the back burner and in this case it was my blog. I didn't neglect it, but if I had to be writing an essay on market research, I couldn't be writing a blog post about my new shoes. I also had to put going to the gym on the back burner as I just felt guilty if I wasn't at home writing essays and revising. I've put together a few tips on keeping on top of things when you're busy.
- Top Tips -
Don't push yourself.
If you have to get an essay done, revise for an exam or write up a report for work then make time for it and if you have to put other things on hold, that is okay. Your health is the most important things, a blog post can wait. Make the time to get the things you really need to get done, done and then if you're too tired to do the extra things, don't push yourself to do them.
Do what works for you.
If you friend can spend all day working and you have to have breaks, that's fine. Everybody works differently so don't compare yourself to others, just do what works for you. If your break means taking an hour out to shoot some photos and write a post then do it, if it means going out for some fresh air and taking time out, that do that.
Schedule. Schedule. Schedule.
If you do set some time aside to write up some blog posts, write a few if you can, then schedule them to go up throughout that week. This way your blog won't fall behind but you don't have to keep thinking about it. You can even schedule tweets about your posts too, with apps such as TweetDeck.
Don't stress.
We are all human and understand people have busy lives, your readers won't mind if you don't have the time to write new posts when you have deadlines or are very busy at work/ You blog because you love it, don't make it something that worries you.

Great photos are pretty important when it comes to blogging, right? Here are some of my tips to get great blog photos in collaboration with The Bloggers Hub. I'm no expert, but these are ones I would of found helpful.
------
A few extra tips for you (+ some brownie points for also being a reader of my blog!)
- Think about your angles. Straight on? Birds Eye View? There's so many different angles you can take a photo from so play around with it until you get one you like. I love using birds eye view shots when shooting lots of items!
- Take hundreds. End up using three. Although it means lots of deleting has to take place, I prefer to take loads of photos then narrow it down to my favourites - saves any 'none of these photos are right' dilemmas!
- Good things take time. You can't learn something instantly, I'm still learning myself and I'm sure some top notch photographers still find out new things they didn't know too. Find out what an ISO is, or what a shutter speed is, or what settings mean what. (I'm not one to talk on that one though. I still need to read my camera manuals...) Put the time in and you'll reap the benefits!
Hello there, a November Resolution to start the month with...
(Image found via Pinterest. Originally from Krisatomic)
I have missed my blog so much whilst I haven't had internet in my flat. Not only have I missed updating mine, but also reading all the blogs I love, daily. But, whenever I got the chance to update or catch up I always felt like I wish I had something better to post when it came to photos. Since I moved to Brighton I have barely even touched my cameras... saaaaad face. I never put my cameras down when I was at home, I was always the one taking photos at parties and on days out.
In such an exciting and new time of my life, why have I chosen to put the cameras away now? Confidence. I'm scared to take my cameras out for the 'why are you taking a photo of that?!' and 'put your camera away!' comments. How ridiculous is that!? I have relied on my iPhone for photos for the first 6 weeks of uni life, but as of now, that is going to stop! I'm going to try my absolute best to not be afraid to take my camera out with me and to take photos of anything I want to.
November is one of my favourite months of the year. It's birthday month, fireworks night, the build up to christmas begins and it starts to get super wintery and chilly and then of course it's December and nothing makes me happier than christmas. I love it! So, there couldn't be a better time to start this.
What has your confidence stopped you from doing? Any other bloggers feel like this?
