Rounding up some NY essentials for you! In January I'm all about positive vibes, new skin care and maybe a new little something in my wardrobe. I don't go overboard, as it's just after Christmas, but I think a few treats to lift your spirits in a new year are allowed! I may or may not have picked up some of these bits myself already and my ASOS save later is full to bursting...

Happy shopping! x

Rounding up those faves again for a monthly favourites video - better late than never, ey?

January -like all months- had its good and bad moments. The good being lots of fun times with friends celebrating FOUR(!) birthdays and that wonderful feeling of a fresh new year, but bad in a very sad family loss and difficulty finding my feet on the job hunt.

Enjoy! xxx

I've never uploaded a Skincare routine before and now I feel I've got my skincare just right (for now!) I thought it was about time I shared the products I love and would recommend to anyone!

I've really tried to start taking better care of my skin, it is very dry.  No make up, no matter how expensive, will look good if the skin you're applying on to isn't at its best. These steps aren't ones I necessarily do everyday, but when I feel like it's time for a bit of TLC.

It's that time of year again, when my hands are forever cold and getting dryer by the minute! I've mentioned my forgetfulness when it comes to hand creams in a post before, it usually takes a rather wonderful scent to keep me re-applying as much as I should.
Enter 'Hungry Hands' the newest hand cream in the Zoella Beauty range. I was super happy to hear Zoe was bringing out a range that was gingerbread scented (as I personally think the UK needs to get up to scratch on the autumn/christmas scents!) and it's lived up to my expectations. It's sweet and warming, but with a subtle hint of spice that comes through after. The scent makes me think of christmas baking and reminds me of days spent by the fire, watching films and wrapping presents.

It sinks in quickly and leaves your hands feeling like silk, with the scent remaining for hours after you've applied it. The packaging is also rather beautiful with the parcel paper brown, deep red and shiny rose gold lettering it looks really sweet sitting on my bedside table. For just £5 you get a lot of product and it does not feel cheap in the slightest. It also doesn't feel like it's aimed at a younger audience either, which I think is something that can often be wrongly assumed by the fun packaging.
So, all to plan I should have the hands of a goddess by the end of the year! This would be a perfect little present for anyone, young or old, who loves sweet, warming and spicy scents.
I do love a good re-fresh in the skincare and beauty stash! Seeing new products sitting there all full and pretty on the shelf just makes me feel a little bit warm and fuzzy inside. No half empty bottles, no  chance of hitting pan and no product shaking to get every last drop out! So when I had run out of a lot of my essentials at the same time, I knew it was time to head to Superdrug to stock up!

I always forget to look after my hands. If I don't have a nice hand cream in all the places I could possibly need one, then the chances are it will not even cross my mind. I was so happy to see Zoe had brought out a hand cream in the original scent of her Zoella Beauty range. I love the newer tutti-fruity scent, but I think the original scent is slightly more appropriate for autumn and winter - when your hands are really in need of some serious TLC. The packaging is beautiful, so it sits proudly on my desk, where I can see it/remember it exists! The rose gold tube is such a lovely touch and makes it extra special. It sinks in very quickly, which is super important for me as I hate having greasy hands, but the fresh scent still lingers which is lovely. If you've been thinking of purchasing Wonder Hand or you're on the hunt for a new hand cream, I would definitely recommend this one!

We all have those products that we couldn't live without, right? In this video I give you the low down on the products I seriously couldn't be without and rely on, on a day to day basis!
Keep your eyes peeled for a 'Summer Primark (+more!) Haul' and 'Get Ready With Me: 1920's Glamour Edition' coming up soon too.

We all love a pamper evening. A chance to completely rejuvenate ourselves and to feel fresh.
These are my top pick and things to do on a pamper night...

Take it off. Clean. Cleanse!
Start your pamper evening buy getting rid of the days germs. Have a bath or shower, use all your favourite products and really treat yourself! Light some candles and soak, or sing to your favourite songs in the shower. Take off your make up and take off any old nail varnish too.

Time to Treat Yourself
Once you're done, use your favourite moisturiser. I use Creamy, Madly, Dreamy from Zoella Beauty which is super luxurious, but not to thick and heavy. I am not patient when it comes to moisturiser drying time. Treat yourself to a face mask to sort your skin out. I use Lush's Mask of Magnaminty which works wonders on my skin and... cracks superbly when you once your skin when it's dry. (I find this very satisfying before I take it off... it's the little things, ey!) After my skin has dried and I've given it a little time to breathe, I will apply my Garnier Essentials Hydrating face moisturiser.

Give Your Nails Some Love.
Pick out your favourite 'feel good' nail shade and really spend some time to do perfect a manicure. Do all the things you know you should do when painting your nails... but never can be bothered to do! This is the time to do any other little beauty bits, I'd pluck my eyebrows here too.

Pick Your Treats Wisely!
Of course, no pamper evening would be complete without some snacks and something great on TV. Candles are obligatory, obviously. If you want this time to completely switch off, maybe listen to some music or read a good book. If you're happy to be 'online', maybe read some blogs, watch some griping episodes of PLL or do some online shopping.

Relax & Enjoy!
