This week has been a stressful one. It's been absolutely non-stop! Lectures, job interviews, Beauty Chat LIVE, gigs, rehearsals, family visits, essays, open mic nights, all sorts. It finished off with a few days at home, which has been absolutely lovely. But I was accompanied by a cold that had been ready to pounce all week, slowly getting worse as the it went on. So, I'm currently on the sofa, watching friends, sipping tea, stocked up on cold & flu tablets and wrapped up in a blanket. This week I feel I need to look back and find the good things, the things that made me smile. It's left me feeling a little deflated and unmotivated!
1. The bloom of purple and red tulips that have sat on my desk, looking beautiful, all week. A valentines day gift from my love.
2. Beauty Chat LIVE. Anna and Lily's night at Space NK was fantastic. I wrote a blog post about it, you can read that here.
3. Pancakes! Need I say more?
4. Cat cuddles. It's good to back with my little cat, Mickey, to have a snuggle on the sofa. Also to meet Henry's sister new little kitty, Jett. He is absolutely teeny!
5. Not getting on an Open Mic night on Wednesday. The list seemed to fill up within seconds and by the time I went to sign up it was full. I was sad as my dad had come to see me, but we decided to all bundle into Henry's flat and chat, sing, laugh and play for the rest of the evening. Turned out to be a great night.
6. The Great British Comic Relief Bake Off is gracing our TV screens again. Plus, Zoella was on it! Go #TeamInternet!
7. Fleur De Force's Feb-Vlogs. I've really been enjoying her videos recently and can't get enough, so daily vlogs are perfect! I need to get my hands on her book, it looks fantastic.
8. Total Divas. I'm obsessed with this show at the moment. Erm, when can I become a Bella Twin?
9. The sun making an appearance this week. It's made me so excited for Spring.
10. I'm going on holiday! The bookings for a holiday in September have started and I'm already planning outfits in my head... too early?
What's made you happy this week?

On Tuesday evening I took myself off to Space NK in windy old Brighton, for an evening full of beauty talk, champagne, sweet treats and two of the loveliest ladies in YouTube.
Bloggers & YouTubers, Lily Pebbles & Vivianna Does Make Up, took their popular 'Beauty Chat' videos on tour in Space NK's across the UK. It seemed to be a massive success if you ask me! It was so lovely to have a browse through all the fabulous skincare, make up and haircare, chat to beauty experts and talk to Anna and Lily in a lovely relaxed environment.
Of course, I took my camera to take a few snaps for a blog post. I also spent a little more money than planned... but I'll get onto that in a bit!
The girls started off the evening with a Q&A from Twitter and a few questions from us there. In response to 'How did you manage beauty blogging and university' the answer is... 'Just don't buy books!' Anna's words... not mine! We all had a laugh and she took her words back pretty quickly when the girl who asked was an English Student! (But seriously, she's totally right, in most cases, they're all in the library!)
I had a lovely chat with Anna & Lily, it was so nice to meet them. We talked singing, BIMM, skincare and their Teenage Throwback playlist, which sounds right up my street. Anything that contains 'Thong Song' - Sisqo has gotta be good, right? They said they wanted to hear me sing... so if you're reading this, this is my YouTube channel!
Beauty experts were dotted around the whole store ready to help with any questions you had about products. I was helped by a lovely lady called Lesley on the Space NK Pro Team who found me the perfect products, with recommendations from Lily too.
On to the spending.
I went with the intention to spend £10, as our £15 ticket was redeemable on a product we purchased, so I'd be getting a nice £25 product. I actually ended up spending £37... just to get this incredible goody bag. I regret nothing. The goody bag must be worth a hell of a lot, there's so many amazing products in there. I'll start with the bits I picked out first...
Dark under-eye circles are pretty much the bane of my life. I know they're not the end of the world, but I'm super conscious of them so I want to try and get rid of them. I picked up the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado & the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer in Custard to bust those bad boys! I then grabbed Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat... One - to get me over the spending limit for the goody bag... and Two - because who doesn't love 'fast dry' when it comes to nails!
Now onto the goody bag. Just look at the contents of it. There was no way I could say no to this, so many products I've only dreamed of owning on my student budget! This also means I now have lots of new lovely products, big and small, to review on here!

A huge thank you to Anna and Lily for such a great night and also to Space NK for hosting it. A fantastic night with fabulous people!
It's Pancake day!
There's nothing better than pancakes for breakfast if you ask me.
I've gathered up some friends for fun and pancakes this morning.
I seriously cant wait to have my own cute little kitchen with all my cute little bits and bobs to style so lovely blog photos. But for now, Henry's student kitchen will have to do! (As far as student kitchens go, it's a gooden!)
What topping to go for?! Nutella, golden syrup, Lemon and sugar, strawberries, blueberries.. so many options! I think lemon and sugar has to be my favourite!
Have a fab day and enjoy your pancakes!
Now, I don't agree with the whole 'one day to spoil your other half' thing, lets face it, you should want to shower them with love every day. But I will be taking the day out to spend it just with my Mr. Cocktails & dinner at our favourite restaurant 'Jamie's Italian' (Yes, we go there all the time, ever occasion it's a reason to dine at Jamie's!) I suppose it's just a little reminder to just focus on the two of you and your relationship in the crazy, hectic thing we call life!
I hope you have a fabulous day whatever you're up too!
Happy Valentines Day Henry. I love you to the moon and back!
Disclaimer: Prepare for a splattering of my thoughts, in the form of a blog post. Oh & I'm about to get a bit soppy.
No, not about the man in my life, but about one of the leading ladies in my life. She's someone I've laughed with, cried with, cry laughed with, danced and sung my heart out with, holiday-ed with and spent the last seven years being best friends with! Her name is Charlie and she is one of the most amazing people I've ever met.

She genuinely is the Ginger Spice to my Posh Spice! (I totally wish I was 'Baby', but alas, 'Posh' has stuck! Not complaining though, I do love to rock an LBD)
The reason I thought I'd write this little post was due to a thought that popped into my head the other day....
One day, we'll be too old for sleepovers.
We're 20 and the sleepovers come thick and fast when we're both home from university as we have to make the most of every moment. (I'll admit, the term 'sleepover' makes me cringe ever so slightly.. but lets face it, you're sleeping over, so there's not much else to call it!) But, I do realise there does come an age where, for most people, that probably stops? You're too busy with work, general life and too grown up for things like that.
In a moment of panic, of course I sent a little message to her and she reassured me that we'll make sure the sleepovers never stop. One day we'll be having pre wedding sleepovers and pregnant sleepovers, which for any girl is an exciting thought ey? (Don't panic boyfriends, we're talking 'the future' here!) It just made me sad to think that one day, we won't sit up talking until the early hours, falling asleep mid convo, then waking up for tea & breakfast together the next day. If there's anyone you can carry on doing those things with, as you get older, it's your childhood friends.
Can you really ever be 'too old' for something? Not at all, if you ask me.
Things change as you get older, but if you enjoy something, why should you stop it just because you're 'too old'? You stop discussing the boy your fancy in your class and one directions new album (Okay, we totally still do this...) and start discussing the bigger things in life.
I'm not sure if I'm writing this to express how much I miss Charlie, or to celebrate future old age sleepovers... but lets go with it! I used to spend every day with Charlie at school and now that seeing each other is few and far between it really does suck and I miss her more than anything. I may be getting soppy, but when I really think about it, I really do miss having her in my everyday life. There are few people in my life I could slap with a piece of pizza and have them not only still be my best friend, but do it right back! (This actually happened, but it's a drunken tale for another time!) Basically, she's the best, I miss her and I totally enjoy a girly sleepover and don't want them to stop.
So, if I'm 70 and I want a sleepover with my best friend because I don't get to see her everyday/Want to sing to Spice Girls/Want to indulge in copious amounts of Cadburys Chocolate buttons, I'll do it. Okay?
