It's without a doubt my favourite time of year.

Honestly, I can't put into words how mesmerising I find this season. The colours, the chill in the air, the conkers, the pumpkins, the apples, just all of it.

I'm forever finding new things I want to do throughout Autumn. My camera roll becomes full of screen-shots and my room full of random notes both scribbled on paper and in my phone, of ideas, places and things to do. I thought I'd note some of them on my blog. Some I've done already, some I'm yet to do and some might just have to wait until next year.

What do you like to do in Autumn?

I feel like the start of every month is a checkpoint.
It's a great point to stop for a moment and check you're on track and see what you need to do to get that little bit closer to your goals. I set some mini targets in January and I managed to do about half of them, purely because I couldn't really remember what I wanted to do. This month I'm going to write them out and put them up above my desk. So if any of them seem similar, it may be because I didn't quite get there last month!

-  F E B R U A R Y  -

T O - D O  L I S T

- Read another book. #2 of the hopeful 12 this year!
- Keep trying meditation and making time to stop for a moment.
- Apply for at least 10 jobs/internships. It may seem a small number for a whole month, but I want to be realistic and I want to apply for jobs I really would be happy to get and I have worked out that finding those takes time!
- Take better care of my skin. It is dryer than the Sahara, naaat good.
- Make more of my time. Job hunting leaves me with lots of spare time, sometimes I just need a break from it, so I want to make the most of the time I have before I'm working more.
-STOP SNOOZING. For real this time. It is not good.

What are your plans for February?
There are definitely a few things I wish I had know before I started my blog - a few truths about the reality of blogging. There are so many positives and upsides and if you find a passion for it then these things are just part of the package! These are in no way rules or anything set in stone, just something I have learnt from experience and wanted to share.
Blogging Tips Flatlay
Make Time - it takes a lot of effort.
Although blogging has lots of lovely benefits, it isn't all swish parties, polished photographs and flat-lays. It's a very time consuming hobby, which is absolutely fine if you love it and are happy to put the time in! Snapping, filming, editing, planning, writing, publishing, posting and sharing content takes a lot of time, so I think it's a good thing to know that before you start - not to put anyone off, just as a little friendly note as I didn't quite realise when I started (luckily I'm now happy to put the time in!)

Things won't happen straight away.
I have been blogging for over three years now and I am a prime example that growth. takes. time. I don't blog for the numbers, they are simply a lovely bonus, but the feeling of your blog, channels and social media growing is great - it means people are interested in what you have to say and have to share with them.

Be creative, be influenced by others, but be you.
A little cliche sounding I know, but it is so important to stay true to yourself on your blog. It is usually plain to see when someone is pretending to be someone they're not or pretending to like things they don't like just because they think it'll go down better with readers. With the 'blog-market' being so saturated now, your unique selling point is... YOU! Be influenced by other bloggers, let their ideas inspire your ideas, but make sure your ideas are your own.

Schedule & Plan - it will help!
Content planning will make your life so much easier! Plan what you are going to post and when you are going to post, so you've got an idea of what is coming up. If you plan a month or so ahead you can be prepared for any specific content that might need to go up at a certain time of year - I always find days like Valentines Day or Bank Holiday Weekends spring up on me and had I realised I would have planned some content around it.'Schemes, Dreams and Ideas' Notebook
Most importantly, make sure you enjoy it - it's fun, creative and exciting!

Are you starting a blog soon? Or do you have any tips you can share too? Let me know in the comments!
I love a trip to IKEA. Not afraid to admit it.
So re-doing my bedroom was the perfect excuse for a trip to eat Swedish meatballs and pick up some new bits for my room. You can see what I picked up in the haul and how I've made some of the furniture a little more exciting and unique.

Oh and possibly the best part, I've found the cheapest and most amazing sunglasses storage solution... ever.

I am totally in love with my wrapping this year, it's totally Pinterest inspired and super easy and inexpensive to do! So, if you're struggling for last minute wrapping ideas, this one is perfect for you!
Just pop to your local garden centre for some sprigs of a christmas tree! There'll without a doubt be parts of trees that have broken off - a very kind man who was sorting through the broken trees at my local garden centre cut off a branch for me! It cost me nothing!
The brown paper was from the post office for only £1.50. The candy canes was £1 from Sainsbury's, as were the tags and the string!

Very simple, but effective - and still all very possible this close to christmas!

Today I thought I'd pop up a DIY christmas present idea up. It's super simple and quite quick at easy!

These are markers for herb gardens. Perfect for anyone who's got green fingers and likes to grown their own herbs!

You will need:
Polymer Oven Bake Clay
Letter Stamps
Rolling Pin (Or something similar, I used a milk bottle!)
Oven

How to do it:
- Set your oven as your clay packet instructs! This will vary, so make sure you read what yours says.
- Cut your clay into equal pieces and roll them with your hands into long sausage like shapes. Don't make them too thin and make them long enough so they'd poke out of the top of a flower pot.
- Then, flatten these out with your rolling pin and square off the corners. I made sure the top was square and the bottom had a point - but you can make them however you like.
- Gently press in the stamps at the top end to spell out your chosen herbs.
- I popped one test one in the oven to make sure it all worked, then you're good to go. Roll, stamp and bake! Make sure they're laying flat on an oven proof tray.

I added a few personal touches to make it an even sweeter gift. They are a little delicate, but package and wrap them well and they'll be fine!

Let me know if you make them! I'd love to see your snaps.

This week I had christmas with all my uni friends before we headed back to our hometowns for a few weeks. It was a night of great food (if I do say so myself!) festive fun and games and a lot of laughs. I thought I'd pop a few tips on here for how to put together a great student christmas without breaking the bank.

- Decide how much you'll each pay. We decided to all put in £5 to cover the cost of the food and a few extras. If you all decide a small amount to pay you'll have more than enough food for everyone. It's much easier to all put money in than trying to split who gets what. You can decide to just get food for a christmas dinner or you can add in sweet treats, crackers, decorations and nibbles too!

- Secret Santa! Keep the price limit low and go for silly presents. A £2 spending limit and a trip to poundland and your living room will be full of plastic bow and arrows and plastic tiaras!

- Create your christmas playlists and don your christmas jumpers! Things can feel pretty 'un-festive' at uni, you don't really want to splash out on decorations when you're going home in a few days, so make the most of what you've got!

- Whoever cooks, doesn't clean! Make sure everyone does their bit, if you've cooked the whole meal, get the others doing the washing up.

Most of all. Have a lot of fun! My memories with my uni friends are my memories with my best friends, ones I will always remember!

Secret Santa's can be a bugger to buy...

Price limits, not knowing the person well enough or having no clue where to even start!

But, there is also a lot of fun to be had in buying a Secret Santa gift! These are some of my top Secret Santa picks!

Some are unisex, but most are for women. I tend to go down the jokey route for men, as lets face it, they're impossible to buy for! Sorry boys...

With the most expensive item here being the 'Clinique Whole Lotta Chubby Gift Set' at £20 and the lowest being the Fish Eye Lens and Xmas Party Props at £5, these gifts are great for any lower budget for Secret Santa!

What are you thinking of purchasing?

When moving house, this girl resorts to tumblr, pinterest and a hell of a lot of blogs.

I knew in my new room I have my desk by a huge window, therefore a very light and airy space.

A clear/tidy desk space is so important to me. It'll be where I write my essays, where I need to feel inspired, where I will write and plan blog posts and videos. So I want to get it just how I'd like it.

These are some of the photos I've got for inspiration.

(Source: Tumblr. I do not own any of these images)

They're all so beautiful in my eyes!

I'll update you on what kinda thing I go for when I settle in next week.
