When it gets a little colder my fashion focus seems to be on every chunky jumper going. I love them with roll necks, cable knit, fitted, oversized, the list goes on. Sometimes when I chuck on a chunky jumper, I'll pull on a pair of jeans, whack on a pair of boots and I'm out the door, others I want to dress up a little more, mixing comfort with style.
I recently picked up this gem of a jumper from Primark. I was a little unsure knowing the material would probably cook me alive but I'm always cold and sometimes I just need the thickest, snuggliest things going. There was a huge range of colours (and I have my eye on the grey version too...) but I went for this deep purple colour, knowing I had nothing similar in my Autumn/Winter wardrobe already.
I found it was the perfect jumper to wear without a coat, as it's thick enough to block out the wind and keep you warm. The sun made a brief appearance and it was just a liiiittle warm, so I'll bear that in mind when I chose to wear it out.
Wanting to style it up a little more, I opted for a skirt and knee-high boots over going for black skinny jeans. Statement tortoise shell earrings and a dark Charlotte Tilbury lip added a touch more glam to the outfit as well. For me, I felt it was my ideal mix of comfortable and stylish.

Starting into my wardrobe, I flicked through summer dress after summer dress and decided I needed to pick up a few autumn staples.
I browsed through a few sites and settled on one of my favourites, Missguided!
Normally pretty dangerous for me to go on there as I spot piece after piece I want to put in my basket... but I have to resist and only select a few.
This off the shoulder jumper is suuuper comfy. With a neckline that allows you to have either shoulder out, or even it propped on the edge of both of your shoulders it's very easy to wear.
I love pairing it with jeans and my wine coloured floppy hat from Topshop, chic yet comfortable! You can purchase this comfy jumper here!
I have had my eye on high neck tops for a while, but I wasn't sure how flattering they would be on me. I am so glad I purchased this number from Missguided. It's so flattering! Comfy and goes with pretty much everything. They sell it in a variety of colours too. It's probably best to wear a bra with adaptable straps in you don't like them showing with this top, it looks a lot better (I didn't think about this for these photos...!) Get your hands on it here!
The main thing I actually went searching for were some autumn/winter day dresses. This a-line dress with a turtle neck really stood out to me as I haven't got anything like it already. After a very long time of flittering between the black, teal and grey... I decided to go for black. You can't go wrong with it and everyone needs a little black dress!
Had to defy the rather strong sea breeze...
Now I've got these beauties, it's gonna be hard to get me wearing anything else !
-- 21st August 2013 - 1st September 2013 --
A week and half, I know, but I started on a Wednesday. I will continue as Monday to Sunday after this! This post was inspired by Cider With Rosie. Her blog is beautiful and I can't stop myself once I start reading, Go and have a look for yourself!

1. Coming home from an incredible month long road-trip around America. It was an unforgettable holiday with my family but I was so happy to get home to see my Mumma and big brother again!
2. After 34 days apart, I have finally been reunited with my boyfriend. I've never been so happy to see him!
3. Having to start thinking about autumn/winter clothing. I can't get enough of knitted jumpers, chunky scarves and warm hats so I can't wait to get layering again!
4. I've started buying things and making lists for things I need in my new bedroom in my student house! Now September is here, moving day is getting closer and closer... eek!

5. Having happy, healthy, holiday skin! There's nothing better than having a bit of colour on your face and therefore having to wear less makeup!
6. English Breakfast Tea. I have ALWAYS been a tea girl, but I can't stress how much I appreciate English tea after being in America. Ice Tea in the USA? Amazing. Hot Tea in the USA? Not so much.
7. Burn - Ellie Goulding. It's on repeat, such a great song.
8. Costa's signature smoked ham and free range egg farmhouse sandwich... mmm!
9. My new 'Gold threaded, Chunky Knitted, Zip Back Jumper' From Boohoo.
9. My new 'Gold threaded, Chunky Knitted, Zip Back Jumper' From Boohoo.
Always exciting to start the Autumn/Winter wardrobe.
10. Seeing 'This Is Us' One Direction's film... in 3D (just picture it... Harry Styles in 3D... yes it is THAT good!) in Leicester Square with two of my best friends after a great day in London. Also, the fact that I am still listening to 'Best Song Ever' at least five times a day & I still think it is, indeed, the best song ever and shall remain so for a long time.
This weekend I also saw Lucy Blackwell, Live, at Sun Scream Festival at Thorpe park. Nothing better than seeing one of your best friends doing something they absolutely love! A great day with lovely people and lots of ride inflicted eye watering! This day will also be the feature of my first ever vlog, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Check out her Lady In Waiting EP here! What did you get up too this weekend?
