With it being the start of summer and a trip to cornwall always being on the cards, Lucy, her mum, Anna, My mum and myself took ourselves off for a little trip to the seaside.
Anna and Lucy have the cutest cottage down there, so the four of us stayed there.

After a long afternoon of travelling the first place we hit was the pub for food.
It was gooo-od, as I said in a previous post any burger with gherkins on is good enough for me, so this one went down very well!
But the dessert. Oh boy, the most amazing sticky toffee pudding ever.
It was like eating a toffee flavoured cloud.
So light and drenched in toffee sauce.
Try and resist licking the screen. I know, it's hard...

We ventured to the Lost Gardens Of Heligan (Separate blog post to follow!)
Then after, we hit the beach!
Luce and I booked a surf lesson for Day Three. I have ALWAYS wanted to learn to surf!
We tried to convince the mums to have a kayak lesson... they weren't having any of it!
We retreated back to the cottage (after some food & clothes shopping...) for a bbq and a night in.

We visited Wheal Kitty. So beautiful and picturesque.
The bright blue sky reflected on the sea making it a gorgeous deep blue which faded into a beautiful turquoise.
What a beauty Luce is!
Just look at the colour of the sea!
Makes me want to just dive right in!
Just posing on a cliff, because we can!
The rest of the day continued with a surfing lesson!
We had water up our noses, salt in our hair and a hell of a lot of laughs.
'If in doubt, paddle out!'
We had such a lovely instructor and we both had the best time. I'd recommend Breakers Surf School to anyone in St Agnes wanting to learn!
The evening was spent watching England (lose) in the World Cup at the pub, then drowning our sorrows in that sticky toffee pudding!

Okay, I'm a little bit late to the 'Bill's' party.
I'd heard so many people talk about how lovely it is there and how great the food is, although despite having one in Brighton, I'd never been, so Henry and I decided on one lazy saturday that we'd go there for a late lunch.
I knew as soon as I walked in that I would love the place. With all the bottles of wine and a rainbow of their jams, chutneys, drinks and other goodies stacked up to the ceiling as soon as you walk in.
Also, if somewhere has a recipe for Brownies scrawled across the wall in fancy handwriting, then I'm already sold!
Henry went for Bill's Beer Battered Cod with minted mushy peas, skinny fries and tartar sauce, which looked like a fabulous choice if you ask me!
Being an utter burger girl, I went for the Bill’s hamburger with a sesame seed bun, red onion, tomato, lettuce, horseradish mayonnaise, gherkins and skinny fries... and just because that wasn't quite enough I opted for Monterey Jack cheese too.
Put a gherkin in a burger and I'll be sold. Gherkin cravings all day, err'day. I'm weird, I know.
Look at me just loving life with my burger, I will definitely be ordering this again, but not before trying 'Halloumi and Hummus' a sesame seed bun with grilled halloumi, hummus, baby gem, roasted peppers, sweet chilli and yogurt, served with skinny fries. I think that sounds amazing!
I'll definitely be returning soon, possibly at breakfast time as I've the pancakes are to die for!
Granny & Pa came down to Brighton to take Henry and I out for lunch, so we went to one of our favourite places, Jamie's Italian.
This place is super lovely. It's not overpriced, in fact the prices are so reasonable (we're student's and we still eat there!) you can guarantee the food will be amazing and it's pretty cool inside, with really lovely staff too.
I ordered my favourite drink, a Non-alcoholic Ginger Mojito, which is pretty much a 'must-have' every time I go. Really refreshing & it looks great; Satisfying on the tastebuds and the eyes!
I had a 'Meat Plank' which is a combination of the loveliest meats, cheese and vegetables, Henry & Granny went for 'Crispy Squid' which is to die for, especially dipped in the garlic mayo and Grandpa went for 'Crab & Avocado Bruschetta', which I've never had but it looked great!
Just look at this beast of a burger! Pilled high with bacon, gherkins, lettuce, tomatoes, mozzarella and onion relish. The most popular choice this time, though, was pizza!
The one pictured below was the special; mozzarella, sausage meat, sultana's (Yes, I'm a fruit on pizza kinda gal) and red onions.
I'm such a dessert person, not matte rhow many savorythere is always room for dessert! Henry on the other hand is not, so opted for tea, I went for Tiramisu & G&G went for lemon sorbet.
Had to get a snap with my lovely Grandpa!
