I spent Good Friday with my grandparents, catching up over tea and hot cross buns! Granny & I decided to do some painting together like we used too. I was nice to just get a paintbrush in my hand again which I haven't done for a few years!

I spent the day with my mum doing a spot of shopping and some movies in the evening. No photos to show for it!

Mum and I managed to unknowingly set up an Easter Egg hunt for each other, in the same room without finding our own goodies! Nothing like a game of 'hot and cold' with a cup of tea in your hand on easter morning!
I spent Easter Sunday with Henry and his family, the sun even made a glorious appearance!
A bit of colouring for a couple of 20 year olds, nothing wrong with that right?
He's just my favourite. He's a good egg :)
The table was set beautifully. Tulips are one of my favourite flowers and the bunny rabbit serviettes were just the cutest!
Feeling absolutely stuffed we enjoyed a relaxed afternoon chatting away and being entertained by the doggies!

The sun was shining again! It felt like the first day of Spring, absolutely gorgeous!
I'm obsessed with the combination of stripes and florals, it's definitely something I'm going to (try) to rock a lot this spring/summer.
It was Henry's dad's birthday on Easter Monday, so we went out for a lovely meal at The Hurstwood, in High Hurstwood. Definitely a place to go if you're near!
Gorgonzola stuffed figs, wrapped in parma ham to start, followed by the yummiest fish and chips I've had in a long time and a to die for sticky toffee pudding to finish!
Henry & I then made our way back to Brighton for the night. So a weekend full of 'happies' if you ask me!
What did you get up too this Easter?

You know those days where you are just so happy? Everything is going well, the sun is shining and you're surrounded by people you love. I may have had an awful hangover all day (Okay, I totally did. But it was all self inflicted, so I can't complain...) but the sun beaming down soon made me forget about it.
The day wasn't particularly crammed full with new and exciting things, just a few things that really made me smile.
The day started off with a yummy breakfast, then strawberry lemonade from Costa, playing in the garden with Henry's doggy, Milo, a funny drive back to Brighton, then an afternoon spent lying on the beach soaking up the sun.

I'm not a dog person, but I've recently developed a soft spot for this little one, Milo. Look how handsome he is! This doesn't happen often and I still don't like muddy paws, claws or slobber...
I always forget to use my 'Hipstamatic' Camera App on my phone, so took the opportunity to experiment with some photos with that on this fine day.
The sunset was absolutely beautiful, it's times like that I wish my big girl camera folded up into a tiny box that I could take everywhere, but alas, this is not the case, so the iPhone with 1% battery had to suffice.
And to top it all off, a friend took a photo of Henry and I on the beach that I absolutely love and will be putting in a frame for my room straight away! We just both look so happy, and it's so rare we get a photo that we both really like!
What did you spend Sunny Sunday doing?
(Not my photo. Original Source unknown.)
A nice way to start a monday morning, ey?
t h e w e e k e n d :
Fun Friday:
Piano and Keyboard window shopping to find the perfect one for me.
A Jamie Oliver cookbook as a present from my stepmum.
Mojito's and Mexican were on the menu for dinner with the family.
I got to sleep in my own bed again!
Snoozy Saturday:
Cuddles with my cat, I've missed his furry tum.
Soup and Bagels on the sofa with mum.
My Favourite dinner.
Seeing my family again, for the first time since I moved!
Lots of cups of tea.
Stormy Sunday:
A catch up over salted caramel hot chocolates in Starbucks with my two best friends.
A reflective train journey back to my second home.
Goodbyes with mum, always a hard one.
Horror films, don't watch 'Sinister'... officially scarred for life.
The storm of all storms crashing it's way throughout the night.
A sleepless night worrying about the storm, but also worrying that there was a small demon in my room about to kill me....
Manic Monday:
Blue skies and brisk wind, a surprise after last night's chaos.
Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagels.
Faux Fur coat and a chunky knitted dress.
Planning Halloween Outfits.
That was my weekend, Lazy, fun and relaxing. Thought I'd throw Monday in there... just because.
I'm Really missing my blog, fingers crossed for internet in my flat this week.
What did you get up too this weekend?
