As I sit in my living room, surrounded by flickering candles and fluffy blankets, with the wind and rain whipping against the window, it reaffirms my love for this season.

Some friends actually have a joke about how much I love Autumn ~ I am genuinely obsessed ~ but it's the simple pleasures that make this season such a joy for me.

Basically, without wanting to sound like the girl in Mean Girls who wants to bake 'a cake filled with rainbows and smiles', I just love Autumn because it's just so bloomin' wholesome. It's such small, natural joys that happen every year. It's the ever changing colours of the leaves. It's the vibrant red, orange, brown, green, burgundy splashed across the countryside. It's the fact you can enjoy it, whatever the weather. It's crisp, cold but sunny days where you can go outside and enjoy the colour changing landscapes. It's rainy, cloudy, windy days where you light the candles, wrap up warm and fully embrace the cosiness of your home. It's the way the light changes in my house, the warm light glow streaming in. It's picking pumpkins and buying far more than you need. It's the chunky jumpers, the boots and the dresses you've had stored away since Spring. It's hunting for conkers among the crunchy leaves. It's never needing an excuse for Sunday roasts and apple crumble with custard. It's the golden hour light and vibrant sunsets. It's the nostalgic scent of carving pumpkins. It's the excited little trick or treaters knocking at your door at Halloween. It's wrapping up in all the layers, juggling hot chocolates and burgers with fried onions watching fireworks. All of this, topped off with my birthday and the exciting lead up to, dare I say it, Christmas.

A lot of gushing about this blaaaddy beautiful time of year, but I quite honestly do not shut up about it. It's a constant source of happiness for me - it makes me embrace the big, the small, the outdoors, the indoors, the lot.

What's your favourite season?

You may or may not know that this year I've started filming wedding videos. This time it was for a special person I've known all my life, Polly.

Polly is one of the funniest, most caring and kind hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and she has found her perfect match in Joe. I was not only a guest at their beautiful wedding, but I was also asked to capture it on camera and create their wedding video, so they could relive their wedding day forever more.

Polly & Joe both have Down's Syndrome and are the perfect positive reminder of what really matters in life: love, family and friendships. Please share their video, pass on the positivity and spread the love.

Unfortunately, the video can't be viewed on mobile devices due to copyright, but I promise you it's worth getting your laptop out ;)

Making the most of my last week at home...

A slightly less fancy photo for this post... but we're better than a photo of a bunch of daffodils anyway... right? ;)

1. Celebrating Grandma's 90th birthday with her. She's an absolute wonder woman!

2. Making drunk human pyramids with friends in their quest to make it on to my blog! Lots of wine, lots of laughs and a very fun night.

3. Thinking about summer term in Brighton. The prospect of beach days makes me feel all warm inside. Salty hair and sun-kissed skin please!

4. Snacking on dried mango. Mmmm.

5. I went to watch Celebrity Juice being filmed with Henry. Without a doubt one of the funniest things I've ever watched and I'm now completely in love with Steve-O!

6. Reminiscing with my best friend over tea and cake on a sunny tuesday afternoon.

7. I've been taking care of my skin recently. My skin is loving soaking up all the moisture I've been giving it!

8. Summer Plans.

9. Buying a few bunches of daffodils from a local garden centre. Brightening up the kitchen beautifully!

10. Looking at ideas for my next hair appointment, exciting!

What has made you happy this week?
Now, I don't agree with the whole 'one day to spoil your other half' thing, lets face it, you should want to shower them with love every day. But I will be taking the day out to spend it just with my Mr. Cocktails & dinner at our favourite restaurant 'Jamie's Italian' (Yes, we go there all the time, ever occasion it's a reason to dine at Jamie's!) I suppose it's just a little reminder to just focus on the two of you and your relationship in the crazy, hectic thing we call life!

I hope you have a fabulous day whatever you're up too!

Happy Valentines Day Henry. I love you to the moon and back!
Disclaimer: Prepare for a splattering of my thoughts, in the form of a blog post. Oh & I'm about to get a bit soppy.

No, not about the man in my life, but about one of the leading ladies in my life. She's someone I've laughed with, cried with, cry laughed with, danced and sung my heart out with, holiday-ed with and spent the last seven years being best friends with! Her name is Charlie and she is one of the most amazing people I've ever met.

She genuinely is the Ginger Spice to my Posh Spice! (I totally wish I was 'Baby', but alas, 'Posh' has stuck! Not complaining though, I do love to rock an LBD)

The reason I thought I'd write this little post was due to a thought that popped into my head the other day....

One day, we'll be too old for sleepovers.

We're 20 and the sleepovers come thick and fast when we're both home from university as we have to make the most of every moment. (I'll admit, the term 'sleepover' makes me cringe ever so slightly.. but lets face it, you're sleeping over, so there's not much else to call it!) But, I do realise there does come an age where, for most people, that probably stops? You're too busy with work, general life and too grown up for things like that.

In a moment of panic, of course I sent a little message to her and she reassured me that we'll make sure the sleepovers never stop. One day we'll be having pre wedding sleepovers and pregnant sleepovers, which for any girl is an exciting thought ey? (Don't panic boyfriends, we're talking 'the future' here!) It just made me sad to think that one day, we won't sit up talking until the early hours, falling asleep mid convo, then waking up for tea & breakfast together the next day. If there's anyone you can carry on doing those things with, as you get older, it's your childhood friends.

Can you really ever be 'too old' for something? Not at all, if you ask me.

Things change as you get older, but if you enjoy something, why should you stop it just because you're 'too old'? You stop discussing the boy your fancy in your class and one directions new album (Okay, we totally still do this...) and start discussing the bigger things in life.

I'm not sure if I'm writing this to express how much I miss Charlie, or to celebrate future old age sleepovers... but lets go with it! I used to spend every day with Charlie at school and now that seeing each other is few and far between it really does suck and I miss her more than anything. I may be getting soppy, but when I really think about it, I really do miss having her in my everyday life. There are few people in my life I could slap with a piece of pizza and have them not only still be my best friend, but do it right back! (This actually happened, but it's a drunken tale for another time!) Basically, she's the best, I miss her and I totally enjoy a girly sleepover and don't want them to stop.

So, if I'm 70 and I want a sleepover with my best friend because I don't get to see her everyday/Want to sing to Spice Girls/Want to indulge in copious amounts of Cadburys Chocolate buttons, I'll do it. Okay?

I may be a little M.I.A this week!
It's my wonderful boyfriends birthday today and we shall be celebrating all week!
We're heading out to our favourite place, Jamie's Italian, for dinner this evening with his parents. Is it sad that I'm already excited about my 'Meat Plank' starter... mmmm (it's my absolute favourite thing, ever!)

Happy birthday you lovely man!
Feeling very lucky to be the girl that gets to spend special days like this with you.
All the love in the world Mr.

We all see those buzz feed lists, wonderful recipes and fabulous videos that we don't just want to bookmark and let them sit there, like old books on a dusty shelf, we want to share them! These are the little gems I've recently found and want to share with you on my little corner of the internet!

1. 10 Things I Miss About Uni Nights Out - I've been home for nearly a month now, so I am very ready for a night on the town with my best friends. These couldn't be more true to life if they tried...
2. Travelling Noodles - I'm on a Health kick this January, so these delicious noodles from The Londonder are perfect for a healthy lunch. Have a look at all her recipes, they'll have you drooling on the keyboard!
3. How To Start a Project Life Scrapbook - I have been into scrapbooking all my life, so when I saw Lily Pebble's video, it was lovely to see that I'm not the only one. It's so lovely to have a book that is full to bursting with the happiest of memories. I've never used 'Project Life', that Lily uses, but I'm going to save up, as it looks so lovely and a little less time ( & Pritt Stick...) consuming!
4. 25 New Years Resolutions Everyone Should Make - This really made me think. Some of these new years resolution suggestions are ones that a lot of people, including myself should think about doing! It's the little things we forget about!
5. 73 Questions With Blake Lively - This woman is my absolute idol and I love this video, by Vogue. She seems so fun and lovely (and she's just had a bubba!)
6. The Fitness Files - 'Vivianna does Makeup' literally my current fitness queen. Seriously, she did a 4 mile race at midnight in NYC on NYE, what a babe! (With her boyfriend. They vlogged. It was cute. I started to well up. Emotions are clearly running high. Watch her NYC vlog here!) Her videos and blog posts are very honest and fun to watch/read, not all about fitness though, which is a good thing! I'm not a fan of the whole 'cut sugar out of your diet completely, it's not good for you' thing, which I'm finding is the case with a lot of fitness/health blogs and YT channels at the moment. Anna is great inspo as she's dedicated, but realistic. If she really wants that meal at Homeslice, she'll have it! I'm also that kinda gal...

Have you got any great internet finds to share?

When you are at university and living away from home, your friends become your family.

You over share, you laugh, you cry, you get drunk and you love them all to bits.

We thought we'd have a little christmas together before we headed home for the festive period.

I was very excited about laying the table, as make-shift as it was! (We used the garden table from my balcony!)

Myself and Fran's first attempt at cooking Christmas Dinner, pretty great if you ask me! But I didn't have loads of time to snap it, I was staaaarving!

THIS is house students do christmas. Just look at that magnificent tree...

After we'd stuffed our faces, we continued to stuff our faces with Quality Street, open our secret santa presents, play ridiculous games and celebrate into the early hours!

Not beautiful photographs, but they hold a lot of happy memories for me so I wanted to blog about it!

Did you have christmas with your friends?

If you ask me, men are impossible to buy for! Unless they tell you exactly what they want and it's in your budget, it's so hard to find things that don't cost a fortune!

These are some of my top picks for men, starting with those who want to splash a little cash, then onto some smaller presents and stocking fillers!

Converse / Fifa 15 (Or any xbox/ps3 game really!) / All Saints Shirt / Roberts DAB Radio / Gig Tickets / Raybans

These are a few of the cheaper, novelty gifts for smaller budget, or for stocking fillers.

Apologies for the poor quality of some of the images above, not too sure why that's happened!

What are the men in your life wanting from Father Christmas this year?

xx

A warm midsummers day, one perfect for a bbq full of friends!

Henry had some friends from university staying at his new family home, so took the opportunity to to have everyone over for a bbq.

After a rushed morning of tired band members, the morning after a gig, whizzing around various super markets to buy burgers and beers, we thought we'd relax and start the bbq with a game of croquet.

Seriously sophisticated for us students!

Tired and quite positively famished from our two games... (ha!) we retired to the table and got the bbq going!

We laughed and drank, then indulged once the food was done!

I made Lemon Drizzle Cake that went down an absolute storm. I wish I'd made more, it was gone in a heartbeat!

That afternoon we grazed and picked at the yummy food, we drank, we played with Hen's doggy, Milo, we laughed and we caught up on what had been a busy summer!

How stunning is Lucy's maxi dress from Topshop?!

Then, it was time for another game of croquet.

Luce & I were determined to win...

We lost. Big time. Last, in fact.

Clearly, croquet isn't our forte!

The sun started to set and the air cooled a little, but determined to enjoy what was left of summer. We stayed out until the early hours.

Fire pit and chiminea a' blaze.

I could of taken photos of the smouldering logs and coal for hours.

When the sun had disappeared and the moon was shining brightly, we all sat around the fire pit.

Couples kissed and cuddled, old friends laughed about past times, new friendship started, friends joked and caught up on each others lives and we all buzzed about our next year at university
. Everyone was merry, happiness and positivity filled the smoky, warm air.
Waving a hello to the autumn that's just eagerly waiting to arrive, we toasted marshmallows until we physically could fit any more in.

One by one and couple by couple, we start to slink off to rest our eyes after a long and fun day.

The perfect way to end Summer.
