So I've only gone and moved out of my family home and into an actual house with my boyfriend!
It's been a blaaaaddy whirlwind for the past few weeks.

From finding out the move was officially going ahead, to packing up my life into boxes, to moving in and building flatpack furniture, it all feels like a blur.

Let's start with September. When we knew things were starting to get in motion with the house, I flew to Shanghai for a whistle-stop trip with work (just fyi, a trip to Shanghai and back can't really be done as a 'whistle-stop trip' without knocking you for six for a good few days!!!) It was so much fun and an the most incredible and fun experience, but a 12 hour flight, a day and a half in Shanghai and a 12 hour flight back is enough to write off the rest of the week! Back into the swing of things and things had progressed with the house so quickly. We were super busy at work, so it was all go go go. A week or so later Henry and I were in IKEA making grown up purchases and having a bicker over how big the TV should be. I took a week off over the move to get myself sorted and pack up 23 years of stuff (boyyy do I have a lot of stuff) into boxes.
We moved on the 29th Sept, with the help of family and friends and it's now been nearly three weeks in our very happy, first home.

I filmed the whole process of moving out (for myself, more than anything!) and I'll be sharing more and more from corners of our home. It's super cosy, we have far more candles than necessary and I just love spending time here - as if I needed more excuses to have a night in! We've still got a spare room half full of random bits and boxes and very empty walls and spaces but it's coming together and looking great. We've had family and friends visit and I can't wait to have a house-warming with all our faves.

Lots more house content coming atcha...

Do you ever watch Zoella's Bath & Body Works Hauls and want to weep just a lil' bit because you know none of those candles are available to you? Yeah me too.

But fear not, I have the most affordable and 'good-enough-to-eat' scented candles that are available here in the UK!

My love of Autumn meant I was determined to find some autumn scented candles, I personally feel they're the ultimate scent to make you feel cosy. There's pumpkin scents, spicy scents, sweet scents, the lot.

Home Sense // TK Maxx

Chesapeake Bay Candle - all £3.99

White Pumpkin - Sweet, slightly spicy.

Fall Foliage - Sexy man smell. Yep. It's a thing.

Cosy Cashmere - Vanilla, with a hint of spice.

Tesco Home

Home Inspiration by Yankee Candle - 99p each.

Apple Cinnamon Cider - It smells exactly true to its name, very Christmassy,

B&M Stores

Essence Candles - £2.99

My mum spotted these candles and picked them up for me. I probably wouldn't of picked 'Apple Orchard' as I wanted spicy, sweet scents not fruity, but oh. my. god. this is my favourite.

Apple Orchard - Smells nothing like an apple orchard but like maple syrup and cinnamon. mmm.

Radiant Red Maple - Sweet, sugary, maple syrup scent (but not sickly sweet) with a hint of subtle spice.

These are the ultimate Bath & Body Works Dupes looks-wise too. Make sure you leave them burning for long enough each time, so the wax melts evenly and you get the most out of the candle.
I am so over the moon I found these candles and that none of them were over £4!

The burn-time is great so far, but despite that I feel like I should panic buy some more before I run out... possibly a bit dramatic when I've got 12 candles to burn!

Do any of these satisfy your autumn candle cravings?

I thought I'd spend this lazy sunday afternoon picking out the best bits from the Boxing Day Sales, popping them on my WantFeed then making a little post for you all. All these bits caught my eye when I was having a snoop through the online stores, so thought I'd share them with you!

Marble Print Portable Phone Charger - Urban Outfitters, from £40 down to £20
Eat! The Quick Look Cookbook - Urban Outfitters, from £17 down to £10
Blue & White Embroidered Duvet Cover - Anthropologie, from £148 down to £89
Gold Monogram Mug - Anthropologie , from £8 down to £6
Watermelon Door Mat - Urban Outfitters, from £50 down to £25
Crisp Linen Candle - Urban Outfitters, from £20 to £12
Cream Chunky Cable Knit Hat with Faux Fur Pom Pom - Oliver Bonas - from £16 down to £12
Better On Toast Cookbook - Oliver Bonas - from £16 to £11

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and you're still scoffing down Quality Street and drinking prosecco!

It's Wednesday, so of course it's time for a new video!

This week I'm hauling all the goodies I've recently picked on from a  few shopping trips; some new clothes and some little home-ware bits.

I am the biggest child when it comes to my birthday. It get so super super excited and, despite 19 not being the most exciting age, I'm just as excited to celebrate my birthday this year! Family birthday tea is one of my favourite things ever and it will be lovely to be at homeMy best friend, Charlie, is coming down from Southampton to visit and I miss her like crazy and can't wait to catch up on everything (like our regular hour long phone calls aren't enough...) Due to it being assessment week (mine is on monday... eeek!) I have no lessons on my birthday! Celebrating in brighton will be so much fun and I will be documenting the whole day on here in a very photo heavy post. I might even use the big girl camera....

what's your favourite thing about birthdays?!
(Not my photo. Original Source unknown.)

What did you get up too this weekend?

-- 21st August 2013 - 1st September 2013 --

A week and half, I know, but I started on a Wednesday. I will continue as Monday to Sunday after this! This post was inspired by Cider With Rosie. Her blog is beautiful and I can't stop myself once I start reading, Go and have a look for yourself!

1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10 - My own photos. 3, 4 - from Tumblr, source unknown. Please let me know if you know. 6 - cardigansandcookies.tumblr.com. 7 - Ellie Goulding 'Burn' Artwork.

1. Coming home from an incredible month long road-trip around America. It was an unforgettable holiday with my family but I was so happy to get home to see my Mumma and big brother again!

2. After 34 days apart, I have finally been reunited with my boyfriend. I've never been so happy to see him!

3. Having to start thinking about autumn/winter clothing. I can't get enough of knitted jumpers, chunky scarves and warm hats so I can't wait to get layering again!

4. I've started buying things and making lists for things I need in my new bedroom in my student house! Now September is here, moving day is getting closer and closer... eek!

5. Having happy, healthy, holiday skin! There's nothing better than having a bit of colour on your face and therefore having to wear less makeup!

6. English Breakfast Tea. I have ALWAYS been a tea girl, but I can't stress how much I appreciate English tea after being in America. Ice Tea in the USA? Amazing. Hot Tea in the USA? Not so much.

7. Burn - Ellie Goulding. It's on repeat, such a great song.

8. Costa's signature smoked ham and free range egg farmhouse sandwich... mmm!

9. My new 'Gold threaded, Chunky Knitted, Zip Back Jumper' From Boohoo.
Always exciting to start the Autumn/Winter wardrobe.

10. Seeing 'This Is Us' One Direction's film... in 3D (just picture it... Harry Styles in 3D... yes it is THAT good!) in Leicester Square with two of my best friends after a great day in London. Also, the fact that I am still listening to 'Best Song Ever' at least five times a day & I still think it is, indeed, the best song ever and shall remain so for a long time.

This weekend I also saw Lucy Blackwell, Live, at Sun Scream Festival at Thorpe park. Nothing better than seeing one of your best friends doing something they absolutely love! A great day with lovely people and lots of ride inflicted eye watering! This day will also be the feature of my first ever vlog, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Check out her Lady In Waiting EP here! What did you get up too this weekend?
