Oh hiiiii little corner of the internet I have absolutely NEGLECTED for the past five months!
My creative space, I've missed you.
What can I say? I've just been wrapped up in work, life, the house, all sorts and something had to take a back seat. But it's a slow Sunday here. We had zero plans so we've taken it slow, had a mooch around the garden centre, picked some strawberries at a PYO farm. Now, I'm on the sofa with a cup of tea, a few episodes of The Bold Type and a few hours to actually do whatever I want!
I'm not sure where to even start! I think I'll round up 10 wonderful/fun/interesting things that have happened in the past few months. There'll probably be blog posts to expand on some of these, so eyes peeled...
1. Running! Yep, I've actually started running. I'm on week 4 of Couch to 5k and I'm going to run my first 5k in September. I can not stress how big a deal this is for me. I honestly couldn't run for more than a minute when I started!
2. Spending time having interesting chats with friends, new and old. Making time to actually have those 'we should do something soon' moments and have real chats with real woman. It's inspiring and such a support to share your stories.
3. I'm obsessed with gardening. Tinkering about in my garden is my new favourite thing.
4. Henry & I had the most amazing holiday in Kos, Greece. Take. me. back.
5. Work is busy busy busy. This year I've been on some incredible work trips to LA (including a wild night in Vegas), Northern Ireland and Cannes Film Festival. Some truly unforgettable moments!
6. I saw the Spice Girls live. It was the best night of my life and absolute dream come true!
7. I celebrated my brothers 30th birthday with family and all of his friends. An absolutely magic evening celebrating one of the most important people in my life. So fun!
8. I have embraced my curly hair. After years of feeling a bit inadequate when it comes to my hair (never being one of the 'pretty straight hair' girls kinda thing...) I have finally, at the age of 24, realised how great my hair is (and how just a little styling can go a long way.) It's definitely something I'll elaborate on here.
9. I stayed in the Artist Residence hotel with Henry on a romantic surprise weekend away to our favourite place, Brighton. Absolutely bloody beaut. Very special times.
10. I'm feeling inspired! I have ideas, I have photos stacked up and I'm so excited to share on here again.
There's a short lil round up for you!
See you v. soon with another blog post.

So I've only gone and moved out of my family home and into an actual house with my boyfriend!
It's been a blaaaaddy whirlwind for the past few weeks.
From finding out the move was officially going ahead, to packing up my life into boxes, to moving in and building flatpack furniture, it all feels like a blur.
Let's start with September. When we knew things were starting to get in motion with the house, I flew to Shanghai for a whistle-stop trip with work (just fyi, a trip to Shanghai and back can't really be done as a 'whistle-stop trip' without knocking you for six for a good few days!!!) It was so much fun and an the most incredible and fun experience, but a 12 hour flight, a day and a half in Shanghai and a 12 hour flight back is enough to write off the rest of the week! Back into the swing of things and things had progressed with the house so quickly. We were super busy at work, so it was all go go go. A week or so later Henry and I were in IKEA making grown up purchases and having a bicker over how big the TV should be. I took a week off over the move to get myself sorted and pack up 23 years of stuff (boyyy do I have a lot of stuff) into boxes.
We moved on the 29th Sept, with the help of family and friends and it's now been nearly three weeks in our very happy, first home.
I filmed the whole process of moving out (for myself, more than anything!) and I'll be sharing more and more from corners of our home. It's super cosy, we have far more candles than necessary and I just love spending time here - as if I needed more excuses to have a night in! We've still got a spare room half full of random bits and boxes and very empty walls and spaces but it's coming together and looking great. We've had family and friends visit and I can't wait to have a house-warming with all our faves.
Lots more house content coming atcha...

So much for me announcing that I'm back... hello again blog. I really have missed you.
Let me update you all a little and explain why things haven't been too frequent on here or my YouTube channel. You may know, I finished my degree at the start of June and moved out of Brighton at the end of June. I already miss my little life in Brighton and I can't wait to move back there one day. Since I've been home, we've been redecorating my bedroom, which in case you haven't done it before, I'll warn you it is so much effort if you've not got painters and decorators coming in to do it for you. We've nearly finished all the sanding down, filling in, first coats, second coats, under coats and gloss coats and soon I'll be able to stop sleeping on the sofa and I can start making my room my own again!
On top of this I've also had some seriously exciting jobs going on. You might of seen this blog post on Joe & Polly's Wedding and the wedding video I filmed for them... well I'm incredibly excited to say that their wedding was featured on Rock'n'Roll Bride with lots of lovely photos and my video! It quickly became the most popular weddings on Rock'n'Roll Bride... ever!
I then got the opportunity to be the photographer for the Johannesburg - A South African Experience Exhibition at Lights of Soho, to celebrate South Africa and Mumford & Sons new mini-album 'Johannesburg'. It was so much fun, with some incredible music from The Very Best, Beatenburg & Jeremy Loops, wine tastings and some insane photographs lining the walls of the gallery.
Due to these jobs (which I'm by no means complaining about!), spending my days covered in flecks of paint and having not one free surface to take nice blog photos on, I've fallen way behind on my blog. I've got a list of post ideas and videos ideas ready to go, I just need to find the time and quite literally the space to photograph, write, film and edit them. I've got a backlog of a few mini vlogs from my last term at uni that I'd like to get up on my channel so keep and eye out for those.
I know I'm in a much better headspace when I'm in the swing of things on here, I love knowing that I've got photos ready to go, posts ready to publish and ideas on the go, so I'm determined to get back on it now things seem to be a bit calmer.
Phew. That was a ramble so give yourself cookies if you're still reading by now!
See you very soon, promise. xxx
