A Snoozy Sunday Snap

1. Planning lots of fashion posts. Lots of outfits looks are being planned, so keep your eyes peeled for those popping up soon...

2. New Years Eve. I pretty much went to an OAP disco with my boyfriend & friends. I'm talking disco lights, tinsel, finger buffet, the works... but we had the best night and partied until the early hours of 2015!

3. Being reunited with my cousins. I hadn't seen them in nearly two years, so it was more than lovely to catch up.

4. Frosty mornings and winter sunsets. So much beauty in a season that often gets overlooked for that.

5. Going 'background' shopping with mum. We maaay have raided some wallpaper samples for photography for my blog... ssshhh.

6. Pretty Little Liars in on UK Netflix. With new episodes every Thursday. They know how to please a girl...

7. BBC's Esio Trot. A gorgeous version of Roald Dahl's book, 'Esio Trot'. Made you laugh, smile and it tugged at your heartstrings a little.

8. Gone Girl. Definitely the best film of 2014 for me. Watch it if you haven't already, it's craaacking.

9. Purchasing a ticket for the Bloggers London Fashion Week 'Gossip Girl' Themed Dinner Party. I seriously can't wait to channel my inner Serena...

10. Friends & Family time. So much time spent with my friends and family over Christmas & New Year and I have cherished every moment of it.

What has made you happy this week?

xx

1. Have a healthier lifestyle.
Tidy room, tidy mind. Healthy body, healthy mind. Organised mind, happy G!
I've been excited about this one since before christmas, but let myself enjoy the festive period without restrictions, so will be starting in 2015! Going to be doing a little blog series to keep me motivated too.

2. Blog like there is no tomorrow.
Starting my blog in 2013 has made me happier than ever, I thought it may be something I love for a while then the passion dies down, but that has not been the case. A year and half later I still look forward to taking photos and writing posts and the feeling of publishing a post I'm proud of fills me with a warm fuzzy feeling inside. 2015 shall be the year of the blog, I want to up my blogging game, big time!

3. Get rid of social media anxiety & overthinking.
This is the most ridiculous concept and shouldn't even be a thing, but unfortunately, it is. The anxieties that come with social media are crazy. I want to learn to exit the apps, turn off my phone, switch off my brain and enjoy my time without thinking about what so and so's mysterious tweet was about.

4. Sing, write, perform & play.
Seeing as I'm on a music degree you'd think this one would come easily, but I don't feel like I'm achieving enough outside of my course. I've already made baby steps towards this one in my first term, so it's all go from here!

5. Earn some money!
I want Summer 2015 to be a summer without restrictions. I want to be able to go on holidays, to go to London, to go to the pub, to fill my car up with petrol without the fear of checking my bank balance the next day!

So, there they are. They goals and targets for this year.

2015 is here & I am oh so excited!

What are your resolutions? Comment below, I'd love to know!

We're going all out this Halloween! Myself and my friends are all super excited so have lots of plans!

Friday night, we're dressing up, getting drunk and heading out.

Obviously I needed some spooky beverages to get me through the evening.

'Pina Ghoulada' (geddit?!) being my drink of choice!

50ml Pineapple Juice
1 tablespoon Coconut Cream (Surprising hard to find... will see if coconut milk works!)
50ml Rum (I couldn't find the one I wanted in time to take these photos... so just pretend it's there!)
1 tablespoon Sugar
Ice
Pineapple Slice (Decoration - Optional)

Shake it all up and you're ready to go!

I've also made Jelly Shots for everyone to enjoy.

These are simple, just jelly, vodka and water.

I'll leave you to work out the measurements of each thing... it took Fran & I a while..

----

On the saturday night to soothe our poor hungover heads, we're having a big scary movie night!

Films, friends, takeaways and lots of snacks. Can't really ask for much more!

I spotted some wonderful looking 'Triple Halloween Chocolate Apples' on Cider With Rosie and I am so excited to give them a go!

I'll also be making these funky 'Spooky Boo Brownies' that I spotted on the Betty Crocker website!

I'm being naughty and using a box mix... but I'm a student, so it's allowed.

Whip up a batch of brownies, place the marshmallows on top! I'm melting some white chocolate over the top too!

Sweetie Skewers to stick in one of the pumpkins for great decoration and food!

We bought a few decorations for the flat too. We thought we may as well go all out and make the most of this spooky weekend!

Pumpkins are carved and ready to be displayed in all their glory with tea-lights in!

Check out my spooky pumpkin carving video below!

What are you plans? Whatever they are, have a good Halloween!
Just a few snaps from my phone recently. I've been using my DSLR a hell of a lot more recently, but I still take a few quick shots on my iPhone.

I suppose this is also a bit of a 'Things That Made Me Happy' post too!

I was walking along with Henry, arms round each other and before I know it the little'un had run up behind us and decided he wanted to join!

Micks having a little clean in the dazzling sun.

I absolutely loved doing my best friend, Abi's hair. Blow drying is my new favourite thing! (even if it does take me hours... baby steps!)

Fresh peas straight from the garden!

Pimms. Nothing beats it on a summer's evening!

My current favourite breakfast! A smoothie (made in my new blender.. I am definitely the saddest person ever as I was SO excited about getting a blender...) & Greek yoghurt with honey and strawberries!

Testing out the new hammock in the garden at Henry's family home.

Perfect Summer lunches. Picnic food will always make me oh so happy.

Important life lessons from bro to bro.

Hilarious Sundays with family and friends trying on my mums old wedding dress. It hasn't been taken out of the box once since the day in went in there!

Happy, happy photos from a happy happy girl.

Hey!
Came across this whilst I was scrolling on Tumblr, wanted to share it on my blog.

I think it's important to remember things like this, even though some of them are simple, they can easily be forgotten.

Happy Wednesday Lovelies!
Hello!
After reading Cider With Rosie's posts on her Honey Roasted Nuts and Peppermint Creams I was eager to give it a go myself and make a few gifts for people. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone, not just at christmas, but anytime of year! I don't do this quite as 'prettily' (is that a word...?) as Rosie, but they still taste great!

I'm also going to try these with milk chocolate and see what they're like!

The excitement of christmas is getting far to much for me so I thought I'd share my favourite Christmas songs with you! I pretty much love EVERY single christmas song. They all make me jump around the room with festive glee...

Happy, feel-good and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Pretty sure this one is one of my dads favourites, it always makes me think of him, so Dad this ones for you!

If you don't love this song... I don't love you. That is all I have to say.

Bit of an unusual one, but I covered it with my brother a few years ago and I will always love it!

Not a traditional christmas song, as you can probably tell from the title, but it's happy and catchy as hell. 'Santa, you bitch. Didn't get a damn thing on my christmas list' haha!

Nothing better than a soppy bit of Wham!

Of course, there is Michael Buble's christmas album too, my favourites are 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' and 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

If you're enjoying the christmassy songs & the John Lewis Christmas advert, have a look at mine and my housemates cover of Somewhere Only We Know - Keane/Lily Allen to get you in the festive mood!

What are your favourite christmas songs? :)

Hello!

Who doesn't love the John Lewis Christmas Advert? It's super cute and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Me and my housemates loved the song from the advert, so recorded a cover of it.

We hope you like it. Maybe share it with your friends if you do? Christmas is all about sharing, right?

Although I've said I'm going to take my camera out more, I still take a lot of snaps on my iPhone everyday. Here's what I got up to last week!

tuesday evening: lewes fireworks (blog post to follow)

wednesday: a very lovely surprise early birthday present!

thursday afternoon: costa christmas cups and my favourite christmas drink!

saturday afternoon: a yummy hawaiian burger for lunch with my mumma and family friends

Pretty pumpkins, scary movies, sticky toffee apples and dead school girls... pretty much sums up my halloween. I've never properly dressed up for halloween before so I was super excited to get into it! I'll definitely be buying contacts again next year, they successfully freaked everyone out! These are just a few quick photos from my iPhone to sum up my halloween! Next up, Fireworks night!

How was your halloween? What did you get up too?
